VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED
The Cornwall-on-Hudson Fire Department is staffed 100% by VOLUNTEERS. We respond to over 200 emergency calls each year.
There is a job for everyone!
We need firefighters, EMTs, drivers, and support for various tasks on the scene, as well as administrative assistance. Additionally, we require help with community services, such as fire prevention education in schools, organizing our annual fair, and other community events.
Get Involved
This is your chance to truly make a difference in your community. It’s an opportunity to get involved in something rewarding and meaningful. Become a first responder and join the fire service, where you’ll become part of a unique and supportive family. Anyone 16 years of age or older can volunteer.
Who We Serve

Since its formation in 1868, our fire company has been committed to protecting the lives and property of the 3,000 residents of this community.
